Bokeh

Yesterday I did some experimenting with bokeh. It's really easy to do and it's a lot of fun. Such a simple thing that creates cool pictures.

Homework Assignment: Scary or Fear?

Another scavenger hunt word for my Digital Materials and Processes class. This time, we were able to choose if we wanted to portray "scary" or "fear."

Port Jefferson

Went exploring in Port Jefferson with my friend the other day. I've been coming to this place for years and it will never grow old.
The weather that day was beautiful and it was a great day.

Night Photography

During my Digital Photography 1 class, we went outside to experiment with night photography. This was the first time I took these kind of pictures and I was really excited to learn how to do it. We had a ton of fun with this.

Homework Assignment: Blue
For one of my photography classes, we were given a word, in this case blue, and had to take a picture that represented that word. Our professor told us to keep in mind the other meaning of blue, not just the color.

Beauty in Simplicity

Being a photographer really gives you a better appreciation for the world around you. One of my favorite things to photograph is nature. I love "seeing things" differently than other people. If we just stop and look around us, we would see that this world truly is beautiful. 

Time Management

Looking at my time management worksheet, I just thought "Wow."  I accomplished a lot this week. I made time for school, a job, homework, and time to hang out with family and friends.
The one thing I struggled with is getting enough sleep. Sometimes I would stay up late (later than I needed to) and get up early the next morning. My goal is to work on balancing all of these things, all while getting a good night's sleep. 

Depth of Field

We had to take pictures using maximum depth of field and shallow depth of field. I preferred using shallow depth of field.

Autumn in the City

Last November when I took a trip into the city with my sisters. We spent the day in the city before going to a concert. It was a beautiful Autumn day.
At the time, I didn't have my SLR camera. I shot these with my Sony Cybershot. 

Exploring

Went exploring in Riverhead a few days ago and found this cool park by the water. It was such a beautiful day :)

Smokey Mountains Sunrise

These pictures were taken in Tennessee of the Smokey Mountains. My family and I stayed in a cabin up in the mountains for a week. The last morning we were there we decided to wake up for the sunrise. It was well worth getting up early. The view was incredible. 

I'm so fascinated with sunrises/sunsets. The colors that they display are amazing.
These pictures were taken on my Nikon D3200 and are completely unedited. 

Sleeping Beauty Photo Shoot

Here are some pictures from a Sleeping Beauty photo shoot that I did. These are part of my fairy tale characters photo shoot.
I had a lot of fun with this shoot. These two are dating which made it more genuine :)
